Support for the women who give everything to everyone else. For women who are ready to rediscover who they are outside of who they take care of. Now it’s your turn.

— YOU MAY RELATE TO THIS —

Does this sound like you?

If you're reading this, there's a good chance you know exactly what it feels like to walk through your own front door and have nothing left to give. You've spent the day taking care of everyone and everything else, and somewhere along the way, you lost track of what you actually need. What you want. What even feels good anymore.

I want you to know, before anything else: that's not a flaw in you.
That's a nervous system that's been working overtime for a long time.

— THAT’S WHERE I CAN HELP —

Hello, it’s nice to meet you.

Meet your therapist, Joann Chevaillier, LPC-Associate. Joann sits smiling on a dark teal couch wearing glasses and a peach colored shirt.

My name is Joann Chevaillier. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (MS, LPC-Associate, SEP), supervised by Shannon Carl, LPC-S, SEP. I've been working in mental health since 2021, and along the way I've pursued advanced training in Somatic Experiencing, Imago Relationship Therapy, and Sex Therapy; because talk alone wasn't getting my clients all the way home. Insight is important. But your body has its own intelligence, your relationships are often where safety is built or broken, and your sense of desire and pleasure are usually the first things to disappear when you're running on empty. Among the last things anyone thinks to ask about. I work with all of it: the talking, the body, the connection, the parts of you that have gone quiet.

— MY CORE VALUES —

Here’s what I believe:

Underneath all the training and credentials: safety in your body and in your relationships is the foundation for actually feeling present in your own life, not just functioning in it. Healing isn't only about understanding why you feel the way you do, though we'll absolutely do that work together. It's also about helping your body learn, slowly, that it's allowed to put something down.

— WHO IS THIS FOR —

Therapy for Women

I work with women who are exhausted in a way that a good night's sleep hasn't touched. Women who are ready to rediscover who they are outside of who they take care of. What they like, what they want, how to feel curious or playful again instead of just managing the next thing on the list. For some of you, that includes reconnecting with desire and pleasure, in your body and in your relationship and that's work I'm glad to guide you through, without tiptoeing around it.

— OFF THE CLOCK —

A few of my favorite things

Learn about Joann Chevaillier off the clock, she leans her arm against a tree branch and smiles outside.

Outside of session, you'll usually find me somewhere outdoors, hiking a trail, fishing, or playing with photography. I have a garden I'm still learning the patience for, a partner and a couple of dogs who keep me honest about rest, and a stack of fantasy and romance novels I'll defend to the end. I also see my own therapist and do my own version of this work. I don't ask my clients to go anywhere I haven't been willing to go myself.

— WARM WORDS —
